SPOOLOGIC Turbocharger Conversion and Performance Kit

The SPOOLOGIC Turbocharger Conversion and Performance Kit SL-700-001 fits 1999-2003 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 trucks with the 7.3L Powerstroke. It converts Early 1999 trucks to the later turbo and intake configuration and upgrades 1999.5-2003 trucks with a Stock Plus GTP38 turbocharger, bellowed up-pipes, and intake plenums. The included turbo typically supports gains of approximately 15-20 rear-wheel horsepower and 5-10 lb-ft of torque over stock.

Tuning and Supporting Modifications

Tuning is optional and is not required to use the included Stock Plus turbocharger.

Power Support

The included SL-100-007 Stock Plus turbocharger can deliver approximately 15-20 additional rear-wheel horsepower and 5-10 lb-ft of torque compared with a healthy factory turbo. Actual results depend on vehicle condition, fueling, calibration, supporting components, and test conditions.

Early 1999 Conversion

The supplied later GTP38 turbocharger, pedestal, outlet plate, intake spider, plenums, boots, and matching up-pipes replace the Early 1999 turbo and intake configuration as a package. This allows the included later-configuration components to be installed together, rather than attempting to fit a later turbocharger to the original Early 1999 hardware.

1999.5-2003 Performance Package

On a 1999.5-2003 truck, the same kit supplies a Stock Plus turbocharger upgrade alongside replacement intake components and bellowed up-pipes. The truck already uses the later configuration, so this application is a performance and repair package.

Non-EBPV Configuration

The supplied SPOOLOGIC Non-EBPV pedestal and outlet plate replace the factory exhaust back-pressure valve components, removing the valve from the exhaust path. An EBPV terminator is included for the factory electrical connection.

High-Speed VSR Balancing

The rotating assembly is high-speed VSR balanced before shipment for smooth, consistent operation.

Wastegate Control

The GTP38 housing uses an internal wastegate with the included factory-style 22 PSI actuator - SL-260-002.

Bellowed Up-Pipes

The included SL-510-003 kit combines 304 stainless steel pipes with integrated bellows and a ceramic-coated ductile iron collector. The bellows accommodate thermal movement at the exhaust connections. The kit includes its installation gaskets, O-rings, and mounting hardware.

Intake Components

The supplied intake spider and SPOOLOGIC plenums provide the later intake configuration. Two orange factory-style boots connect the spider to the plenums.

Coverage excludes damage caused by improper installation or use, physical damage, and use outside the listed application. Claims require dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the component for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will replace the covered component.
