SPOOLOGIC Stage 1 Performance Turbocharger

The SPOOLOGIC SL-100-027 is a brand-new, direct-fit drop-in GT3788VA-based Stage 1 performance turbocharger for 2003 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Super Duty trucks and 2003 Ford Excursion models equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke. It combines a 63.5/88/94 mm 7+7 billet compressor wheel with the 2003-specification 72.5/66.4 mm 10-blade turbine shaft, nine 15 mm VGT vanes, a ceramic-coated turbine housing and center section, completely new variable-geometry components, upgraded SPOOLOGIC internals, and high-speed VSR balancing. Designed to support approximately 425–450 rear-wheel horsepower when matched with proper fueling, custom tuning, and supporting modifications, the SL-100-027 provides substantially greater compressor airflow than a Stock or Stock Plus GT3782VA while retaining direct-fit electro-hydraulic VGT operation.

Tuning and Supporting Modifications

Supporting Modifications: Upgrade components as needed to support your intended power level.

• Larger injectors and fuel-system upgrades may be needed to reach the listed power range.
• Adequate high-pressure oil supply for the selected HEUI injectors.
• Intake and intercooler upgrades may be needed to reach the listed power range.
• Adequate exhaust flow and leak-free up-pipes.
• Boost and exhaust-gas-temperature monitoring during setup and loaded operation.

SPOOLOGIC does not provide custom tuning services. Customers are responsible for arranging application-appropriate tuning with a qualified tuning provider.

Approximately 425–450 rear-wheel horsepower with a properly matched build. This is total power-support capacity, not a promised horsepower increase. Actual output depends on engine condition, fuel delivery, calibration, and the complete vehicle combination.

Bearings, Seals, and Balancing

Updated bearings and seals improve durability, sealing, and shaft operation:

VGT Control System

The VGT control solenoid uses engine oil pressure to move the unison ring and turbine vanes. The control solenoid is supplied preinstalled.

Coatings and Finish Options

The turbine housing and center-section exterior are ceramic coated to help manage radiant heat and resist oxidation. Heat reduction varies with operating conditions. The finish options below apply only to the compressor housing.

1-Year Limited Warranty

Every SPOOLOGIC turbocharger carries a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. Coverage applies to the original purchaser with dated proof of purchase. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before shipping the turbocharger for inspection. If inspection confirms a covered defect, SPOOLOGIC will repair or replace the turbocharger at its discretion. Damage from foreign-object debris, oil starvation, contaminated or restricted oil flow, extended oil-change intervals, over-boosting, over-fueling, improper installation or tuning, operation beyond the intended range, or use outside the listed application is excluded, along with cosmetic wear, coating discoloration, and normal heat-cycling marks. Customers are responsible for shipping both to SPOOLOGIC and back, whether the claim is approved or denied.
