The SPOOLOGIC SL-100-012 is a brand-new, direct-fit drop-in Stock Plus GTP38 performance turbocharger for 2000–2003 Ford E-350, E-450, and E-550 Econoline models equipped with the 7.3L Powerstroke. Designed as a mild performance step above the original turbocharger, it combines a 60/80/84mm 5+5 billet compressor wheel with the factory-style 1.15 A/R non-wastegated Econoline turbine configuration, a Non-EBPV pedestal, and upgraded SPOOLOGIC internal components to improve airflow and throttle response while retaining the responsive, durable characteristics needed in street-driven, commercial, towing, and work-van applications.
5+5 Billet Compressor Wheel — SPOOLOGIC SL-220-002
The Stock Plus airflow upgrade comes from the SPOOLOGIC SL-220-002 5+5 billet aluminum compressor wheel. It measures 60mm at the inducer, 80mm at the exducer, and 84mm at the extended tip. Five full-length main blades and five splitter blades provide additional airflow capability while retaining the responsive compressor characteristics appropriate for an Econoline that may spend significant time carrying weight, towing, or operating under sustained load. The extended-tip design increases the effective outer diameter of the compressor wheel without requiring a substantially larger inducer. This allows the SL-100-012 to provide a meaningful Stock Plus airflow upgrade while remaining a moderate, responsive turbocharger rather than moving into the larger compressor combinations used in more aggressive performance builds.
- Inducer: 60mm
- Exducer: 80mm
- Extended-Tip Diameter: 84mm
- Blade Design: 5+5 — five main blades, five splitter blades
- Material: Billet aluminum
Non-Wastegated 1.15 A/R Turbine Housing
The SL-100-012 retains the factory-style 1.15 A/R non-wastegated GTP38 turbine configuration used on the 2000–2003 7.3L Powerstroke Econoline platform. Unlike the internally wastegated GTP38 used in F-Series and Excursion applications, the Econoline turbine housing does not use a wastegate actuator, linkage, flapper, or exhaust-bypass passage. With no internal wastegate, exhaust entering the turbine housing is directed through the turbine wheel before leaving the turbocharger. The large 1.15 A/R scroll provides the exhaust-flow capacity required by the Econoline application without relying on a wastegate bypass as exhaust mass flow increases. This housing is part of the native Econoline turbo configuration rather than a truck-style performance conversion. Its larger turbine-side flow capacity is well suited to vans that frequently operate under sustained load while hauling cargo, towing, or performing commercial-duty service.
- A/R: 1.15
- Configuration: Fixed-geometry, non-wastegated GTP38
- Wastegate Actuator: None
- Wastegate Flapper: None
- Application: Factory-style 2000–2003 Econoline configuration
Non-EBPV Delete Pedestal
The SL-100-012 includes a SPOOLOGIC Non-EBPV turbo pedestal in place of the factory exhaust back-pressure valve pedestal configuration. Removing the EBPV system eliminates the valve actuation hardware as a potential oil-leak and service point and simplifies the turbocharger installation by removing components that are no longer needed once the EBPV is deleted. A SPOOLOGIC EBPV terminator is included for the factory electrical connection after the valve system is removed, completing the Non-EBPV conversion without leaving the original electrical connector unaddressed.
Upgraded Internals — Standard
The SL-100-012 is built with updated conventional journal-bearing components designed to improve durability, thrust-load support, sealing, oil control, and rotating-assembly stability compared with a basic factory-style rebuild.
- Extreme-duty journal bearings — Bronze-alloy bearings with updated oil-groove geometry
- 360-degree thrust bearing — Increased surface area for axial-load support
- Step-gap seal rings — Improved sealing and oil control
- High-speed VSR balancing — Balanced at high speed for smooth operation

1-Year Limited Warranty
Every SPOOLOGIC turbocharger is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage requires that the unit first be shipped back to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If SPOOLOGIC determines the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, the turbocharger will be repaired or replaced at SPOOLOGIC’s discretion. Warranty does not cover damage from foreign object debris, oil starvation, contaminated oil, extended oil change intervals, over-boosting, over-fueling, operation beyond the turbocharger’s intended operating range, improper installation, use outside the listed fitment, cosmetic wear, coating discoloration, or normal heat cycling marks. Warranty does not cover labor, shipping, towing, downtime, or any other costs outside the turbocharger itself.
