The SPOOLOGIC SL-610-004 Exhaust Back Pressure Valve Terminator is designed for 1999–2003 Super Duty Ford 7.3L Powerstroke applications and E-series applications. It terminates the matching electrical connection when the original EBP valve-control solenoid is disconnected.
Features
- Electrical terminator for the EBP valve-control connection
- Factory-style connector for the matching application
- Used with the original valve-control solenoid disconnected
- Terminator supplied individually
EBP Valve Control Circuit
The EBP valve is an exhaust restriction device used by the original warm-up strategy. This terminator addresses the electrical connection associated with its control solenoid. It has no mechanical link to the exhaust butterfly and cannot free or physically hold open a sticking valve.
What's Included
- 1 SPOOLOGIC EBP valve terminator — SL-610-004
Fitment
- 1999–2003 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Super Duty — 7.3L Powerstroke
- 2000–2003 Ford Excursion — 7.3L Powerstroke
- 1998–2003 Ford E-series 7.3L Powerstroke applications; verify production year and connector
Related EBP System Fault Codes
- P0475: Exhaust-pressure control valve circuit fault on applicable 7.3L calibrations; diagnose the solenoid connection and wiring.
- P0472 / P0473: Exhaust back pressure sensor circuit low/high. These concern the pressure-sensing circuit and are not repaired by a valve terminator.
Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code identifies a condition to diagnose; it does not prove the component has failed.
Diagnose Before Replacing
Identify whether the complaint concerns the EBP sensor and pressure tube, the control-solenoid circuit, or the valve mechanism. Inspect wiring before fitting a terminator. A mechanically restricted exhaust remains restricted even if an electrical circuit code no longer appears.
Installation Notes
Install only in the matching valve-control connector with the ignition off, then secure and protect the connection. Verify the physical valve configuration separately and check for remaining faults.
