The SPOOLOGIC Heavy Duty 304SS High-Flow Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit SL-510-002 replaces the leak-prone factory up-pipes on Early 1999 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke; 1998-1999 Ford E-350 Econoline 7.3L Powerstroke with mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel pipes, multi-layer bellowed expansion joints, and a ceramic-coated ductile iron Y-pipe collector that eliminate the crush-donut gasket leak point on the OBS 7.3L.
Mandrel-bent for maximum exhaust flow with integrated multi-layer bellows that absorb thermal expansion instead of stressing the sealing surface. Flat-flange design with new gaskets at every joint permanently fixes the factory crush-donut leak point that plagues the 7.3L Powerstroke.
Common 7.3L Powerstroke Up-Pipe Failure Symptoms
If your 7.3L Powerstroke truck is showing any of these symptoms, the factory crush-donut up-pipes are most likely the cause:
- Exhaust leak at the Y-pipe / turbo pedestal — telltale "tick tick tick" under the hood at idle or under boost
- Lazy spool and reduced boost — leaking up-pipes bleed off pre-turbine drive pressure, dropping peak boost and slowing turbo response
- Elevated EGTs and reduced fuel economy — ECM compensates for lost boost with more fuel, raising exhaust gas temps
- Black sooting at the manifold or Y-pipe joints — visible carbon trails at every gasket interface where the seal has broken
Why 304SS Bellowed Up-Pipes Outlast OEM
The factory International up-pipes use crush-donut gaskets that break their seal under normal thermal cycling — every heat cycle the pipes expand and contract, loading the crush donuts until they lose their seal for good. SPOOLOGIC pipes are mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel with bellowed expansion joints that flex with heat expansion, taking that stress off the sealing surface entirely. Flat-flange design with metal crush gaskets, TIG-welded flanges, ceramic-coated ductile iron Y-pipe collector — engineered to hold a permanent seal.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Every SPOOLOGIC heavy-duty 304SS bellowed up-pipe kit is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage requires that the kit first be shipped back to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If SPOOLOGIC determines the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, the affected component will be replaced at SPOOLOGIC's discretion. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, over-torqued flange bolts, use outside the listed fitment, cracks caused by seized OEM hardware, corrosion from prolonged salt or coastal exposure once the raw 304SS finish is chipped or gouged, damage from a failing turbo, cosmetic wear, or normal darkening of the raw 304SS finish under heat. Warranty does not cover labor, shipping, towing, downtime, gaskets consumed on subsequent removal, or any other costs outside the up-pipe kit itself.
