Why Replace Pedestal O-Rings

The pedestal O-rings seal the oil feed and drain passages between the turbo pedestal and the engine block. Over time, heat and oil exposure harden the original rubber, leading to oil weeping, drips down the back of the engine, and air ingestion in the oil supply. Fresh Viton O-rings restore a positive seal and should be installed any time the pedestal is unbolted.

Every SPOOLOGIC gasket and O-ring set is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage requires that the failed gasket or O-ring first be shipped back to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If SPOOLOGIC determines the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, the gasket or O-ring will be replaced at SPOOLOGIC’s discretion. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, incorrect torque, reuse of single-use gaskets, contaminated or degraded engine oil, extended oil change intervals, foreign object debris, running with a worn or leaking turbo, exposure to temperatures beyond the gasket’s rated operating range, use outside the listed fitment, cosmetic wear, or normal heat cycling marks. Warranty does not cover labor, shipping, towing, downtime, or any other costs outside the gasket or O-ring itself.
