SPOOLOGIC Heavy Duty 304SS High-Flow Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit

The SPOOLOGIC SL-510-004 Heavy Duty 304SS Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit replaces the turbocharger inlet Y-pipe assembly on 2003–2007 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Super Duty, 2004–2010 Ford E-350 E-450 E-550 Econoline, and 2003–2005 Ford Excursion models equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke. The stainless steel assembly combines the driver-side exhaust path and upper passenger-side branch at the turbocharger inlet. Bellowed sections accommodate heat-related movement, and the kit is supplied with gaskets and installation hardware.

⚠️ Fitment Notes

This kit replaces the Y-pipe assembly and reuses the separate passenger-side lower up-pipe with its EGR cooler connection. Inspect that lower pipe before installation and select its replacement by the installed EGR cooler configuration.

Bellowed Up-Pipe Design

The Y-pipe directs exhaust from the driver-side manifold and passenger-side lower up-pipe to the turbocharger. Leaking bellows or connections can let exhaust escape before reaching the turbine. The bellowed sections allow movement as the assembly heats and cools. Replacing a leaking assembly can restore lost turbo response; results depend on the condition of the original system.

Common Up-Pipe Leak Symptoms

• Dry black soot around bellows, welds, or flange connections
• Ticking, hissing, or exhaust noise that becomes more noticeable under load
• Slower turbo response, reduced boost, or reduced pulling power

These symptoms call for an inspection, not an automatic up-pipe replacement. Check the exhaust connections and charge-air system to identify the source of the problem.

Installation Notes

• Preparation: Work on a cold engine and follow the applicable service procedure for access. Remove surrounding components only as required by that procedure.
• Inspection: Clean and inspect the mating surfaces, nearby exhaust components, and connections. Replace damaged fasteners and disturbed seals as required.
• Alignment: Start the connections loosely and align the pipe assembly before final tightening. Do not use fasteners or clamps to pull misaligned parts together or force the bellows into position.
• Final tightening: Follow the applicable service specifications for the connections and supplied hardware. Confirm clearance from wiring, hoses, and surrounding components.
• Leak check: Reinstall removed components and check for exhaust leaks. After the first drive and a complete cool-down, inspect the connections for fresh soot.

This SPOOLOGIC up-pipe assembly carries a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. Contact SPOOLOGIC for return authorization before sending the product for inspection with dated proof of purchase. Approved claims are resolved through repair or replacement at SPOOLOGIC’s discretion. The customer is responsible for all warranty shipping charges. Improper installation, overtightened fasteners, incorrect applications, damage caused by other failed components, environmental corrosion, normal heat discoloration, and cosmetic wear are not covered.
