The SPOOLOGIC Upgraded Wastegate Actuator SL-260-004 is a heavy-duty upgrade actuator for 1999.5-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke trucks and 2000-2003 Excursion equipped with the factory Garrett GTP38 or upgraded GTP38R turbocharger. Built with a stiffer spring rate for tuned trucks and high-boost applications.

Why the Upgraded Actuator

The factory GTP38 actuator opens at a low boost-pressure threshold, which works fine for stock fueling but bleeds off boost too early on tuned or upgraded trucks. The SPOOLOGIC upgraded actuator uses a stiffer internal spring and heavy-duty diaphragm to hold the wastegate closed longer, allowing the turbo to build full boost before bypass begins.
