SPOOLOGIC Turbo Vane Position Sensor Adapter

The SPOOLOGIC SL-600-036 Turbo Vane Position Sensor Adapter is designed for 2004.5–2005 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks with the 6.6L Duramax LLY that require the early-to-updated sensor connection. It bridges the early engine-harness connection to the matching updated vane position sensor.

Vane Position Sensor Adapter

Early LLY wiring can require an adapter when an updated vane position sensor is installed. Garrett identifies a wiring adapter for 2004–2005 installations; later factory applications do not normally need this early-harness transition. Verify both connector ends before ordering.

• P2564 / P2565: Position sensor circuit low/high voltage can result from an open, shorted, or poorly connected adapter circuit.
• P2563: Position-feedback performance faults require diagnosis of the sensor, wiring, and turbo mechanism.

Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code identifies a condition to diagnose; it does not prove the component has failed.

Diagnose Before Replacing

Inspect terminal retention, connector seals, pin alignment, and harness continuity. A damaged connector can interrupt the sensor reference, return, or signal. The adapter cannot correct a faulty sensor, control solenoid, or sticking vane mechanism.

Installation Notes

Install with the ignition off. Engage both connector locks and route the lead clear of hot exhaust parts and moving hardware. Do not twist, force, or repin a connector to make an incompatible sensor fit. Complete the applicable learn procedure if the sensor is also replaced.
