The SPOOLOGIC Advanced Turbo Rebuild Kit SL-900-002-K12 is a bundled, complete rebuild package for 1999.5-2003 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 F-550 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke; 2000-2003 Ford Excursion 7.3L Powerstroke Garrett GTP38 applications. It combines a SPOOLOGIC base rebuild kit with a new billet compressor wheel, turbine shaft and wastegate actuator, so you have everything needed to restore the turbo to factory performance in one box.

Common Garrett GTP38 Failure Symptoms

If your 7.3L Powerstroke turbo is showing any of these symptoms, a full rebuild is recommended:

• Wastegate actuator drift or stuck operation — overboost or underboost, inconsistent boost between runs
• Excessive shaft play or oil seal leakage — blue smoke at idle, oil residue in the intercooler piping, end-play beyond OEM tolerance
• Bearing failure — whining, grinding, or whistling that scales with RPM
• Loss of boost and reduced power — turbo not holding rated boost, sluggish acceleration, excess EGT
