SPOOLOGIC Turbo OCR Over Boost Code Regulator

The SPOOLOGIC SL-610-002 Turbo OCR Overboost Code Regulator is designed for 1999–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke applications. It regulates the pressure delivered to the MAP reference connection in a compatible installation.

MAP Pressure Regulation

The OCR limits the pressure signal delivered through the MAP reference hose. It does not reflash the PCM or directly regulate the turbocharger’s actual boost. Its suitability depends on the complete engine configuration, the regulator’s installation, and the vehicle’s calibration.

Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code identifies a condition to diagnose; it does not prove the component has failed.

Diagnose Before Replacing

Confirm actual manifold pressure with an independent, correctly connected gauge and compare it with scan data. Check for a blocked or leaking MAP hose and a biased sensor. A regulator can change what the PCM sees without correcting excessive boost, a wastegate fault, or an unsuitable tune.

Installation Notes

Follow the supplied installation and pressure-setting instructions for the exact application. Keep the pressure hoses secure and clear of heat or abrasion. Verify actual boost after installation; do not assume the factory scan value will represent unrestricted manifold pressure once the reference signal is limited.

⚠️ This device changes the MAP pressure reference. It is not an engine-protection device and does not establish a safe boost limit for a modified engine.

This SPOOLOGIC product is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Obtain authorization before returning the product to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If inspection confirms a defect in materials or workmanship, SPOOLOGIC will repair or replace the product at its discretion. Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, contamination, water intrusion, electrical faults, incorrect wiring, physical damage, misuse, use outside the listed application, or cosmetic wear. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranty evaluation and repair or replacement. Labor, towing, downtime, and other costs outside the product itself are not covered.
