The SPOOLOGIC Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor SL-600-031 is a brand new, direct-replacement intake air-mass sensor for 2007.5-2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 6.6L Duramax LMM; 2007.5-2010 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 6.6L Duramax LMM; 2007.5-2010 GMC Sierra 2500 6.6L Duramax LMM; and other 6.6L Duramax LMM platforms equipped with the factory Garrett GT3788VA VGT. It reports actual intake air mass to the ECM so the engine can hit the correct fueling, injection timing, EGR flow rate, and limp-mode thresholds under every load and RPM. Plug-and-play into the factory engine harness — no re-programming, tuning, or piggyback module needed.
It’s the right MAF sensor for owners chasing down P0101, P0102, or P0103 codes, black smoke under acceleration, unexplained fuel-economy loss, or intermittent limp-mode events on a truck that’s otherwise mechanically healthy — the failure modes that almost always trace back to a drifting or contaminated factory MAF.
What the MAF Sensor Does on the 6.6L Duramax LMM
The MAF sensor sits in the intake tract downstream of the air filter and reads the mass of air entering the engine in real time. That reading is one of the primary inputs the ECM uses to calculate injector pulse width, injection timing, EGR valve position, and VGT vane position. When the MAF reads high, the ECM commands too much fuel — black smoke, sooted-up EGR, high EGTs. When it reads low, the ECM under-fuels — hesitation, hard starts, and fuel-economy loss. When the signal goes out of range or drops out entirely, the ECM defaults to safe values and drops the truck into limp mode.
Common 6.6L Duramax LMM MAF Sensor Fault Codes
- P0101 — Mass Air Flow circuit range/performance. Signal is present but drifting outside the expected window for the current RPM and load. Usually a contaminated or aging sensor element.
- P0102 — Mass Air Flow circuit low input. Signal voltage is stuck at or near ground — failed sensor element, damaged signal wire, or corroded connector pin.
- P0103 — Mass Air Flow circuit high input. Signal voltage is pinned at reference — open circuit inside the sensor or an open in the signal return path.
- P0104 — Mass Air Flow circuit intermittent. Signal drops out under vibration or thermal load — almost always an internal sensor fault, not a wiring issue.
Symptoms of a Failing MAF Sensor
- Black smoke under acceleration — MAF reading high, ECM over-fueling
- Hard starting, rough idle, or stalling — ECM losing accurate intake air data and miscalculating fuel trim
- Reduced fuel economy and power — fueling tables drifting off a contaminated MAF reading
- Hesitation, surging, or limp-mode events — intermittent signal forcing the ECM into default protection values
- Check engine light with any of the MAF-circuit codes above
Built to OEM Specification
Every SPOOLOGIC sensor is built to factory electrical and mechanical specifications and pre-tested before shipment. Signal output, calibration curve, and connector pinout match the original factory part — the ECM sees the same voltage response it’s calibrated for, so no relearn or reflash is required.

Electronic Component — Not Eligible for Return
Due to the sensitive nature of electronic components, this sensor is not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. Once an electronic sensor has been in a customer’s possession, its internal signal calibration and hot-wire element can be compromised by handling, static, or moisture — and we cannot verify or resell it as new. All electronic sensor sales are final. Defective parts and in-warranty failures are still covered under the 1-Year Limited Warranty above, subject to inspection and SPOOLOGIC’s discretion.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Every SPOOLOGIC Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage requires that the unit first be shipped back to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If SPOOLOGIC determines the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, the sensor will be repaired or replaced at SPOOLOGIC’s discretion. Warranty does not cover damage from over-oiled aftermarket air filters, contaminated intake air, water ingestion, physical damage to the sensor element or housing, improper installation, incorrect wiring or connector damage, use outside the listed fitment, or cosmetic wear. Warranty does not cover labor, shipping, towing, downtime, or any other costs outside the sensor itself.
