SPOOLOGIC Mass Air Flow Sensor

The SPOOLOGIC SL-600-005 Mass Air Flow Sensor supplies intake-air feedback to the engine controller on the listed 2017-2019 Ford F-Series 6.7L Powerstroke applications. It replaces the original-style MAF sensor at the intake air metering location.

MAF Sensor Operation

The MAF sensor reports intake air mass to the engine controller. The controller checks that reading against modeled airflow and other air-system inputs. An airflow or correlation fault requires air-system diagnosis as well as electrical testing.

Common MAF Sensor Fault Codes

• P0102 / P0103: MAF circuit low/high input.
• P2073 / P2074: MAP/MAF and throttle-position correlation at idle/higher load.
• P0101 / P00BC: Airflow range/performance faults on applicable calibrations.

Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code identifies a condition to diagnose; it does not prove the sensor has failed.

Diagnose Before Replacing

Inspect the air filter, airbox seal, intake ducting, connector, and wiring. Check for contamination or air leaks, and compare live airflow with engine operating conditions. Follow the Ford diagnostic procedure for the specific vehicle before replacing the sensor.

Installation Notes

Switch the ignition off before disconnecting the sensor. Keep the sensing element clean and untouched, and seal the intake connections after installation. Complete any Ford-specified MAF reset or air-mass adaptation procedure that applies to the vehicle, then verify operation.
