The SPOOLOGIC SL-600-065 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor is designed for 2007.5–2018 Dodge Ram and Ram applications with the 6.7L Cummins. It supplies manifold-pressure feedback for the engine’s load calculations and boost-monitoring strategy.

MAP Sensor Operation

The MAP signal is one input used to assess air delivery on the 6.7L Cummins. Soot and oil deposits can affect the pressure passage, while wiring faults can drive the electrical signal out of range. A MAP problem must be distinguished from an EGR, charge-air, or VGT actuator problem.

Common MAP Sensor Fault Codes

• P0106: MAP sensor performance/rationality, where supported.
• P0107 / P0108: MAP circuit low/high input, where supported.
• P0069: MAP/barometric pressure correlation on applicable calibrations.

Code availability varies by model year and calibration. A stored code identifies a condition to diagnose; it does not prove the component has failed.

Diagnose Before Replacing

With the key on and engine off, compare absolute manifold pressure with local barometric pressure using the factory tolerance. Inspect the pressure passage, connector, reference supply, signal return, and signal circuit. If pressure data is believable but boost is low under load, check the charge-air system and turbocharger rather than assuming the sensor is defective. Inspect deposits without forcing tools into the sensing port. If commanded boost and actual boost disagree while MAP data is plausible, continue with charge-air, exhaust, EGR, and VGT testing.

Installation Notes

Keep debris out of the pressure port and intake opening. Inspect the seal or hose connection, use the application-specific tightening procedure, and verify live pressure after installation. Do not apply compressed shop air to the sensing element.
