The SPOOLOGIC Exhaust Back Pressure (EBP) Valve Terminator SL-610-003 is a plug-and-play EBP delete module for the factory Garrett TP38 turbocharger on 1994-1997 Ford F-250 F-350 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke
/ 1995-1997 Ford E-350 Econoline 7.3L Powerstroke. It electronically disables the factory EBP valve actuation — holding the EBP butterfly fully open at all times — to eliminate the back-pressure restriction the factory uses for cold-engine warm-up. The result is improved exhaust flow, better throttle response, and elimination of the sticky soot-loaded EBP valve as a long-term failure point.

This exhaust back pressure valve terminator is a brand new direct-replacement unit built to OEM specifications and pre-tested to match the original factory part. It plugs into the factory engine harness and ECM without re-programming or modification — fits the original factory part out of the box, no tuning or piggyback module needed.

Common TP38 Exhaust Back Pressure Valve Terminator Failure Symptoms

If your 7.3L Powerstroke truck is showing any of these symptoms, the exhaust back pressure valve terminator is most likely the cause:

  • Sluggish acceleration when cold — factory exhaust back pressure valve restricting exhaust flow for emissions heat-up
  • Carbon buildup on the EBP valve causing it to stick partially closed — lifetime soot accumulation jamming the EBP butterfly
  • Whistling or rattling at idle — worn EBP valve linkage
  • EBP-related codes or check engine light — factory EBP sensor reading out of range with a sticking valve

Plug-and-Play — No PCM Re-Flash Required

SPOOLOGIC overboost and back-pressure modules are factory-style plug-in units. Install in minutes at the factory connector and the truck runs without limp mode or back-pressure restriction — no PCM tuning, no piggyback re-flashes, and the part can be removed at any time to return the truck to a fully stock factory state.

1-Year Limited Warranty

Every SPOOLOGIC sensor and signal device is covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Warranty coverage requires that the sensor first be shipped back to SPOOLOGIC for inspection. If SPOOLOGIC determines the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, the sensor will be replaced at SPOOLOGIC’s discretion. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, incorrect wiring or polarity, connector damage, moisture ingress from unsealed connectors, exposure to voltage or current beyond the device’s rated operating range, use with tuning or PCM modifications that alter the intended signal path, use outside the listed fitment, cosmetic wear, or normal heat cycling marks. Warranty does not cover labor, shipping, towing, downtime, or any other costs outside the sensor itself.
